ELLE inspires and my Photo Diary: NY Fashion Week

ELLE inspires and my Photo Diary: NY Fashion Week

BY Amanda de Cadenet

I’ve been very encouraged by editor Lorraine Candy‘s commitment to featuring models with different body shapes in her magazine, UK ELLE. She is really doing what she can to include diversity, which of course is something that is of the utmost importance to me and The Conversation. I was honored to have the opportunity to contribute to their latest issue. I wrote about my diverse career path and how I got where I am today. This issue is on stands now.

During NY Fashion Week, Garance Doré kindly asked me to be a part of a series called “Pardon my French.” We had such an excellent time together that we ALMOST missed the Diane von Fürstenberg show! You can watch the full interview here. If you’re not familiar with Garance and her amazing blog I encourage you to give it a read. She is authentic and sincere, and her blog is a great reflection of her incredible views on the fashion world.

I’d love for you to take a look at some of the pics I took during my NY trip. Despite being there to work, I made sure I left time to play, hang out with friends and not be so uptight!

I found The Conversation through Garance’s blog wich i love because of her genuine point of view about fashion ans style. I’m from Argentina and I’m 21 and I’m about to graduate from college; at this time I find all the advices here really helpful. I watch the videos and i think: HEY, I CAN ALSO DO WHAT I WANT! they help me taking my fear away. Your work and your honesty about topics the world in general try not to talk about inspire me.
    Thank you!
